PARTS OF DENTAL BRACES
1) Brackets:-They can be Ceramic or Metal attachments which are glued to the surface of each tooth.
2) Arch Wire:- They are wire with great elastic memory and are used to pull teeth, so as to bring them in alignment.
3) Ligature:- They adapt the arch wire to brackets and mostly their presence is needed for most corrections. They are also referred as O rings and come in different colors, which you can choose and ask the orthodontist to apply.
4) Spacers:- Spacers help in creating space between the teeth for accommodating the band between your individual teeth.
